Rosewood

On a sunny afternoon, we met with these clients to discuss their landscape. They were unsatisfied with how the installation had begun to fail the plants and growth it was intended to support. Landscape fabric was restricting air flow and therefore, impeding on the spread of the plant root systems. The system was unsupportive to life. Our work centered on restoration rather than a full replacement. There was a clear foundation of hardscaping and lawn space to work from but the surrounding gardens needed a boost. Into the soil we went, removing dyed-mulch and fabric, allowing the Earth to breathe freely. We amended with compost and beneficial mychorriza, restoring vitality. Plant selections were in line with the site conditions and character of the space. Lastly, we topped the gardens with natural mulch and their home is now complete, exactly as they were wishing for.

Elements:

  • Perennial gardens

  • Paver edge extension

  • Stepping stone path

“We were very impressed with the whole experience with Common Ground! Cass and Taylor were fantastic to work with. They had good ideas, they were easy to communicate with, on time, and they worked hard, plus it was clear how passionate they are about their work. We hired them to fix some aspects of our front and back yards, and we honestly couldn’t be happier with the results! Everything is looking beautiful, and it will only get better as things start to grow and bloom! We will definitely be having them back to help us with some other projects we plan to work on in our yard. We would definitely recommend the Common Ground team to anyone looking for a landscaper in Saskatoon!”
