Sometimes, the first projects completed at Common Ground really hold a special place in our memories. We remember the humble beginnings of this yard, just as Common Ground was starting to sprout. When designing these gardens, we went with a country theme by adding simple mulch paths lined with SK limestone boulders. A mix of native and edible species can be seen throughout the space. Witnessing the Plum ‘Pembina’ grow into its form, the flowers bloom and the Aspen that were once here pop up over the first few years was a joy. Working with these clients since the early days of Common Ground, it’s always a plus to visit the family, especially their dogs.

“Cass and Taylor listened to our wants and needs, made great suggestions and created a beautiful and comprehensive long term plan for our acreage. They efficiently executed phase 1 of the plan , discussing any changes as necessary. It was fascinating to watch the evolution from plan to garden. They educated us on the plants and why they were chosen. They are very passionate about and committed to permaculture design and regenerative gardening, which shows in their work. We are looking forward to watching this garden grow and continuing to work with Cass and Taylor to complete the plan for our acreage. Would highly recommend hiring them. Maya, the puppy, was the added bonus!”
